The Story of OAKS AT MILL POND

The Story of OAKS AT MILL POND

To say that developer/builder Tony Carlson has deep roots in the property where The Oaks at Mill Pond now stands is a truism. Having lived with his wife and three sons on the 12.4 acres for nearly three decades, Carlson had a long-range vision for what this property would someday become. Removal of the original home while maintaining the magnificent oaks and much of the lush landscape and hardscape has made way for a charming, upscale community clustered around inviting parks. Custom-designed homes with refined architectural detail are beautifully sited along welcoming tree-lined streets. A fully decorated model, the wonderfully designed Wheel House at Cody Park, and the impressive Mill Stone Park are open for viewing. Progress continues to evolve and this neighborhood awaits the homeowner truly seeking a simple, peaceful lifestyle, in a convenient and coveted East Cobb location.

On beautiful rolling acreage, once the homeland of Cherokee Indians and later the farmstead for one of East Cobb’s pioneer families, a unique new community has evolved – The Oaks at Mill Pond. Inspired by these historical roots of life in a simpler place in time, the vision for this development is to revive such an ambiance for those seeking a more simplified lifestyle that is free and easy. Beneath the shade of 100-year-old live oak THE OAKS AT MILL POND SUBDIVISION and magnolia trees, residents may gather in the rustic fireside pavilion situated at the center of a lushly landscaped park.

This is a place for redefining living where neighbors are genuinely “neighborly” – sharing in the lives of one another in a quiet, relaxed setting.
